Coloura terms of use
By downloading or using Coloura you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What Coloura is
Coloura is a color-analysis app. You answer 8 questions and take a selfie, and Coloura places you in one of 12 color seasons using fixed rules that run on your phone. It shows your best colors, neutrals, colors to skip and metals, lets you compare colors on your face, previews hair and makeup shades, and estimates how well a color in a photo matches your palette.
2. Not professional advice
Results are style suggestions based on a color-season model and on your photo and answers. Lighting, camera, screen and the photos you use all affect color. Results are not medical, dermatological or professional cosmetic advice, and we do not guarantee that any color will suit you or that a result matches what a human color consultant would say. Use your own judgment when you buy things.
3. Free and paid features
Your undertone result is free. Other features, such as your full season and palette, the scanner and the hair and makeup preview, need an active subscription. The app shows which features are included before you buy.
4. Subscriptions (auto-renewing)
- Options and price: the available subscription periods and their prices in your country are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID account (or Google Play account on Android) when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling: manage or cancel at any time in your App Store account settings (iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions) or in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Free trials: if a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts automatically.
- Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple or Google and refunds follow their policies. Apple refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restore: if you change phones, tap Restore on the subscription screen or in Settings.
- Price changes: if a price changes, Apple or Google will notify you as their rules require, and you can cancel before it applies.
5. Your content and privacy
Your selfie and the photos you scan are processed on your phone and are not uploaded to us. The privacy policy explains what is stored on your phone and the limited purchase information our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives.
6. Acceptable use
Use Coloura only for its intended personal purpose. Only take or upload photos you have the right to use. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
7. Ownership
The app, its design, the color palettes and the text are owned by the developer and protected by law. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Coloura on devices you own or control. On iOS, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement prevails for iOS users.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We try to keep Coloura working well but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
9. Disclaimer and limit of liability
Coloura is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for purchasing decisions you make based on the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Coloura in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
11. Children
Coloura is not directed at children under 13.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Coloura after a change means you accept the updated terms.
